tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California on February 27th, 1976. His family was from Southern California, and attended Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both the football and basketball teams. Gonzalez excelled in these games at the University of California. He was the team's football coach to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez broke the school record for bowl games with nine receptions. After a few months, Gonzalez helped lead the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. After graduating from high school in 1997, he was selected for the NFL Draft. Gonzalez was picked as the 13th overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was a member of the Chiefs from 1997 until 2008. Gonzalez was transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. Starting in Gonzalez's second year in the NFL the team never managed to catch more than 59 passes in one season.
