In 2007, at age 12, became the first woman in history to qualify to compete in the US Women's Open. Even though she didn't take home the title however, in 2007, she took home the Aldila Junior Classic and became the second. She was the most youthful American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) player to earn the championship, in addition to winning the Westfield Junior PGA Championship as the youngest to win this at the time.
