Singer was born on November 26, 1986, in Santa Monica California. She is the daughter of Vincenzo Barba, her father and Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. Her education was completed at Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. Then she attended Catholic University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in architecture. She also began playing the violin from age four, and was referred to as Violin Girl.
